I contributed to the distributed art project by Koen de Wilde, called HUISNR (house number). I made something very flexible and bendy, something you’d expect from people, but also from things. You want them to be real, authentic, true and transparent.
I also love weird material. That’s why I added something to the collection of warm, solid and caressable wooden houses. I made flexible, blue houses made of jelly. I love how they jiggle when you push them and that you can see right through them, like gummy bears.
The little houses I made for Huisnr #78 are blue died jelly houses from a vacuum formed mould of the original wooden house. To make the vacuum form mould, I first made a vacuum form machine from scratch.
